AIR CONNECTIVITY
Flights from India to Dubai & Sharjah are frequent and easy. Please see our Flight Recommendations in the RSVP & Travel tab for the smoothest journey (and to avoid 3 a.m. layovers in strange places).

CURRENCY
The local currency is the UAE Dirham (AED), with an exchange rate of approx.
₹23 = AED 1 (check latest before travel). Cards are widely accepted, but carry some cash for tips, markets and impulsive street-food buys.

DRESS CODE
The UAE is modern but appreciates modesty in public. At the wedding — the more glam, the better (bonus points for colour-coordinating with the décor).

GOLD JEWELLERY
If you are carrying gold jewellery, pack it in your cabin luggage and keep the quantity minimal to avoid any customs-related issues.

HYDRATION
Dry desert air = thirsty skin and body.
Drink water like you’re being sponsored by it.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Ask before snapping pics of locals — it’s polite and keeps you out of trouble.

PLOWER PLUG
The UAE uses the British-style Type G plug.
Pack an adapter unless your phone enjoys long naps.
SALON SERVICES
Good news, ladies — salon services are available at the hotel to keep you looking wedding-ready.

SIM CARDS & WIFI
Grab a local SIM at the airport for instant connectivity. Public Wi-Fi is everywhere but comes with enough pop-ups to test your patience.

TRANSPORT
Taxis and ride-hailing apps are safe, clean, and reasonably priced. Walking? Not recommended unless you’re training for a desert marathon.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Not compulsory, but highly recommended — covers lost luggage, medical hiccups.

VISA
Indian passport holders need a pre-approved UAE visa. Apply at least 2–3 weeks in advance and passport should be valid for at least 6 months to avoid last minute stress. Please contact your airline or travel agent for the same.

WEATHER
November in the UAE is like goldilocks weather — not too hot, not too cold. Days hover around 25–30°C, nights are cooler, and the breeze is finally on your side.
